This site is dedicated to the memory of Special Forces from World War 2 to the present who served and died in places and under circumstances most of us can only imagine in our worst nightmares. My research has taken nearly 40 years and is sadly still ongoing as wars and conflicts show no sign of abating worldwide. I hope this site serves as an everlasting memorial to past, present and future Special Forces.
In memory of my late father-in-law Adam Anderson, PPA 1944-45.

We are a re-enacting group based in the mid-Atlantic region of the USA. The platoon is now looking into broadening its impression to cover a period of time from the early 70's through the current time period. The purpose of this unit is to draw together individuals with a desire to learn about modern history and have a desire to collect uniforms and equipment pertinent to British Airborne Forces duties and missions. Our intent is to display to the general public the aspects of not only members of The Parachute Regiment, but also the reserve component, the Territorial Army (TA), Website URL

The Pingat Jasa Malaysia
"Pingat Jasa Malaysia" can be translated as "The Malaysian Service Medal". The medal was offered at the end of 2004 to the Commonwealth countries who served Malaysia in her fight against aggression and terrorism. Those Commonwealth countries include Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, the United Kingdom and, never to be forgotten, the Gurkhas. E-Mail contact here

[ The Imperial War Museum ]

The Imperial War Museum is unique in its coverage of conflicts, especially those involving Britain and the Commonwealth, from the First World War to the present day. It seeks to provide for, and to encourage, the study and understanding of the history of modern war and how it affects our lives.

Our exhibits range from tanks and aircraft to photographs and personal letters; they include film and sound recordings, and some of the 20th century's best-known paintings.

Duxford is Europe's premier aviation museum - as well as having one of the finest collections of tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits in the country.
This famous heritage site began as an airfield in the First World War and also played a vital role in the Second World War, firstly as an RAF fighter station and later as an American fighter base.

One of the most talked about Museums in Britain today, Imperial War Museum North is about people and their stories, about how lives have been and still are shaped by war and conflict. The award-winning building by international architect Daniel Libeskind is a symbol of our world torn apart by conflict and is situated at The Quays, a waterfront destination 2 miles from Manchester city centre.

HMS Belfast served throughout the Second World War, playing a leading part in the destruction of the battle cruiser Scharnhorst, and also the Normandy Landings. In service with the Royal Navy until 1965, she was saved for the nation in 1971 as a unique reminder of Britain’s naval heritage.

Shortly after becoming Prime Minister in May 1940, Winston Churchill visited the Cabinet War Rooms to see for himself what preparations had been made to allow him and his War Cabinet to continue working throughout the expected air raids on London. It was there, in the underground Cabinet Room, he announced 'This is the room from which I will direct the war'.

The present casualty rate suffered by the Parachute Regiment in Afghanistan is in danger of accelerating this year. So the importance of having adequate resources available to support the families of casualties is all too apparent. It is therefore vital to create a fund-raising programme that will attract urgent financial support for those families while at the same time foster good publicity for the Regiment.
