Paul Steven Sullivan Born 15.6.54 ~ KIA 28.5.82

Paul Steven Sullivan was born in Northamptonshire 15th June1954, the son of Beryl and Ray Sullivan. Paul worked with his Dad who was a builder before joining up at the age of 19 years old.

We (Bette) met the end of my first week of basic training in Aldershot at the Army and Navy and for me it was love at first sight. I was doing my QA training
Cpl Sullivan married Bette Lampey and had a daughter Alesia, who was born in 1979
He was in 12 Platoon, D Company, 2 PARA at the time of the Falklands campaign
During the Falklands campaign Corporal Paul Sullivan was killed by small arms fire along with Lieutenant Barry whilst attempting to take an Argentine surrender.
He died on 28 May 1982 and is now buried at the Military Cemetery Aldershot.

This has always been one of my (Bette's) favourite poems and says it all about true love for me

The Life That I Have
The life that I have
Is all that I have
And the life that I have
Is yours

The love that I have
Of the life that I have
Is yours and yours and yours.

A sleep I shall have
A rest I shall have
Yet death will be but a pause
For the peace of my years
In the long green grass
Will be yours and yours and yours.
