Bruneval Ceremony

Bruneval ceremony -- 1st March 2009
The day was very misty but our French comrades turned out, as usual, in force for the ceremony. Just a thought but perhaps Croydon PRA could consider a trip out in the future!

Mrs Harrison told me (Ron) that most of the young Paras didn't have a Passport yet on their first trip abroad it was to Afghanistan!!!!

Whilst changing our driving licences for French ones I did say to the chap at the Prefecture my father roamed all over Normandy without either a passport or a driving licence--he said "no, it is impossible" ...
I then said that he arrived at Arromanches on D-Day!!

Happy Landings and Best Wishes to all,
Ron & Elaine Matthews ... E-Mail Ron
